Itinerary
Discover the cradle of world art as you stroll among Michelangelo's sculptures and Brunelleschi's architecture, while enjoying a Florentine steak and sunsets over the Arno River.
Day 2: The Uffizi and the Oltrarno
Morning: Spend the morning at the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in the world. Here, you'll see Botticelli's "Birth of Venus," as well as works by Leonardo da Vinci and Caravaggio (reservations required).
Lunch: Cross the Arno River and enter the Oltrarno neighborhood (Santo Spirito). Here, you can enjoy Tuscan crostini with chicken livers and pappa al pomodoro (tomato soup) in a more relaxed, artisanal atmosphere.
Afternoon: Visit the imposing Pitti Palace and relax with a stroll through the monumental Boboli Gardens, the green lung of the Medici Grand Dukes, filled with grottoes, fountains, and ancient statues.
Day 3: David and the most beautiful sunset
Morning: Head to the Accademia Gallery to come face-to-face with Michelangelo's David, the most famous sculpture in the world. The perfection of the marble will leave you breathless.
Lunch: It's time for the star of the table: the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Choose a historic trattoria in the Santa Croce area and enjoy it rare, accompanied by a glass of Chianti.
Afternoon: Visit the Basilica of Santa Croce, where great Italians (Galileo, Michelangelo, Machiavelli) are buried. Conclude your trip by climbing (on foot or by bus) to Piazzale Michelangelo: sitting on the steps watching the sun set over Florence and the Arno River is an unforgettable experience.
